1、GENERAL SUMMARY

• Provide technical assistance to solution development teams at multiple geographic locations. Responsibilities include: * Leading reviews of existing architectures and driving architectural convergence within the group * Encouraging architectural excellence and consistency * Collaborating on new architectures with Solutions Validation Practice Team.
• Assists the representative for the group’s technical interests with external groups such as customers, marketing, product management, service and engineering.
• Provides technical and/or business consultative services during the pre-sales and/or post-sales cycle.
• Provides technical or business analytical support for specific product groups or business objectives in order to engage the customer or implement and maintain an engagement.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Articulate the full value of the EMC Solutions and EMC Services business benefits for internal and external customers. Ensure and provide a single point of contact from within his/her team during the evaluation process. Ensure a strong and seamless relationship by maintaining communications about the project to the team: sales, customers and delivery personnel. Provides key input to develop methodologies for evaluating current and future products within their practice. Provides support to junior team members. Works closely with their Solutions Validation Practice Lead on process development
Stays current on technical specifications for hardware/software requirements of EMC and industry products through professional associations, trade journals, networking, and associated training and seminars. Actively works to identify and document potential problems and resolutions. Responsible for sharing information and best practices with others. May be required to support less experienced co-workers, through on-the-job mentoring. Ability to negotiate, communicate and influence cross-functionally with middle managers within the corporation. Proactively alerts Product Managers, Project Managers and sales team of potential problems based upon strong working knowledge of software/hardware compatibility within the customer's environment.
Supports Project Managers and Account team in the design and development of the technical content defined in the Qualification Process. Evaluates the preferred customer and EMC solution. Prepares technical architectural and implementation evaluation documentation. Works closely with the Project Manager to define project deliverables and schedules. Helps to identify and leverage EMC and Partner Resources in order to satisfy the technical needs and objectives of the implementation.
Function as a technical expert in the pre-sales qualification and is responsible for the evaluation of the technical architectural design, strategies and plans that will be a delivered in the engagement. Develops and articulates solutions based on a customer's strategic business or technical requirements ascertained from working with account teams that have access to multiple business units across the customer's organization.

Education Required:	Bachelors (Technical) or equivalent experience
ExperienceRequired:	6 -8 Years

2、Skills/Requirements:
-Possesses strong, current knowledge of the storage industry,
particularly ILM, SAN, NAS and CAS, EMC's solution offering, value add
and vision
-Demonstrated strength and expertise with consultative solutions
architecture skills in the areas of:
     *Business continuance, high availability and Disaster Recovery.
     *Backup and restore infrastructures in complex storage environments
     *Exchange and or Lotus Notes Messaging solutions
     *Database solutions involving SQL or Oracle

-Experience managing and implementing, solutions involving EmailXtender,
NetWorker, Replistor, AutoStart and Disk Xtender
-Experience managing and implementing Exchange and/or SQL
-Experience managing and implementing solutions on Unix, Linux and
Windows server platforms
-Thorough understanding of LAN, WAN and SAN infrastructure, performance,
and communication protocols including but not limited to TCP/IP, DNS,
WINS, iSCSI and
  related security process's and products
-Strong understanding of competitive and complimentary products
-Clear understanding of Backup and Restore infrastructure and
corresponding Industry and EMC best-practices
-Advanced technical problem solving skills
-Ability to clearly relay technical knowledge to both technical and
non-technical people, written and verbally, in English
-Able to work well in a team environment.
