职位描述：
Duties /Responsibilities
Senior/Lead Software Quality Assurance engineer for Symantec products, with focus on Backup software testing on Linux platform:
1. This position is located in Beijing；
2. Define/create/
execute test cases according to design documents, report bugs and deliver test results professionally, work with developers’ team to resolve product issues, follow up issues until they were resolved/closed；
3. Setup test environment, debug Hardware/OS issues for products test；
4. Identify, troubleshoot and work around problem areas of products with minimal supervision；
5. Communicate with worldwide product team and developers’ team for products testing；
6. Work with/or help other team members to resolve any technical issues；
7. Participate in defining schedules and prioritizing tasks；
8. Make decision on daily task priority and escalate problem to proper parties；
9. Resolve resource contention daily and escalate critical issues in a time-fashion；
10. Guide junior engineers on technical details and design decisions； lead a team to do test execution and test development.
Experience and Qualifications
1. M.S., B.S. or higher in Computer Science or related field；
2. 5+ years of general computer related experience, 3+ years Unix/Linux products test/QA experience；
3. Must have in-depth system level knowledge of Linux operating system, strong testing and system administration experience on platform of Linux, Solaris, AIX or HP-UX. Experience in Netware is a plus；
4. Basic understanding of networking concepts, implementation and technologies (MCSE, CNE). Computer Security knowledge preferred；
5. Good knowledge of test processes and methodologies with strong quality orientation；
6. Detailed knowledge of testing methods, configuration management and software lifecycle；
7. Good programming skills with C, Shell and Perl required；
8. Ability to effectively use configuration management tools, automated scripts, performance tools, etc. Ability to detect defects and communicate them clearly；
9. Good knowledge of VRTS products (NBU, BE, FS, VM & CVS) and database products(
Oracle/DB2) is a plus；
10. Fluent English Reading/Writing and oral communication skill is a must；
11 .Team player with good interpersonal skill.
