Job Purpose
The Senior Manager of China Software Development team will be responsible for recruiting and building up of a highly qualified software engineering team.
Job Location
Shanghai.
Essential Responsibilities
The person will be responsible for setting up the Engineering operation in China. He/she will be the first engineering employee and thus must be able to plan and execute on the operational plan.
The person will be responsible for recruiting and building up the of a highly capable software developers from various disciplines. He/she will be leading a team of highly qualified software engineers working on IP SAN Storage Management Software in co-ordination with the core software development team in US and India.
The candidate will build upon prior storage industry experience to help drive product requirement definitions, product planning, project staffing/coordination, and project management to achieve timely delivery of projects. Projects will be delivered with the highest quality and complete customer
sastisfaction.
The candidate will regularly communicate project status, customer issues, and disseminate company information to peers and subordinates. The candidate will need to interact with a globally distributed cross-functional teams, partners companies, and external vendors.
Minimum Experience Requirements
• Build/ manage a software development team that supports OEM partners.
• 10+ years of industry experience.
• 7+ years in an embedded SW development environment,
• 5+ years network storage development experience.
• 5+ years managing storage development teams
• Experience working for multi-national company is highly desirable
• External customer interface experience
Minimum Skill & Ability Qualifications
• Inter-personal skills in working with OEM customers, in addition to managing a development team to deliver projects on time, on spec, and on budget.
• Must be a self-starter.
• Must have good business and communication skills.
• Must have ability to lead multiple technical and business projects simultaneously.
• Must be fluent in Chinese and English.
• Must have external customer experience.
• 7+ years software development with C/C++.
• 2-3+ years of management experience
• Proven track record in leading an engineering to deliver a product/project to completion on time and on budget.

Minimum Experience Requirements
5+ years in an embedded software environment.
2+ years in the storage industry.
2+ years with networking technology.
2+ years of kernel/device driver level development.
