Job Title : Solution Engineer
(Beijing, China, Multiple Openings)
Job Purpose
• To define and implement storage solutions based on the Intransa IP-SAN products. This candidate will use his/her skills and experience to design a complete end-end storage solution utilizing SRM/HSM, DR, Backup, and various other software/hardware combinations.
Essential Responsibilities
• Interface directly with the customers as well as developers to create a solution to customer pain points.
• Travel to customer site and assist with overcoming any technical roadblocks
• Quickly solve complex customer issue and recommend a workable solution either by custom programming or by integrating 3rd party product.
• Establish strong technical credibility with the customer. Minimum Experience Requirements This position requires 3-5 years in the following disciplines.
• *nix or Windows System Administration; including but not limited to mail, applications, databases, and web serving
• Working Directly with Customers during Staging, Installation, Troubleshooting, Testing
•
In depth knowledge of Storage (RAID, FC, iSCSI, iSNS, FCIP, iFCP, SCSI)
• In depth knowledge of Networking (Routing, Switching, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP)
• Storage experience in any vertical such as Content Delivery, Disaster Recovery, Digital Imaging, Oil and Gas, etc
Minimum Skills & Abilities Qualifications
• This candidate must posses the ability to interface directly with customers as well as engineers and developers.
• At times, this position will be required to travel to customer sites and assist with overcoming technical roadblocks which prevent sales.
• This candidate must have in depth technical knowledge of TCP/IP and networking beyond user experience.
• Ability to debug Windows and *nix Kernel is a plus (primarily TCP stack).
• Knowledge of switching and routing is definitely a plus.
• Have strong background in storage applications and subsystems to include: SRM/HSM, DR, Backup (enterprise level), FC, current implementations of Snapshot and RAID.
• This candidate must be able to creatively solve complex customer issues regarding storage and networking.
Minimum Educational Requirements
• Master Degree or above in Computer Technology
• MCSE, Oracle,
SQL, or
Cisco certifications desires
