1) Hardware Engineers
The successful candidate will be the eventual technical lead of the growing USI Shanghai storage hardware engineering team.
Responsibilities:
• High speed board design with embedded processor, high speed I/O (1Gbps-
10Gbps), memory (QDR-II/DDR/RDRAM) and complex control logic implementations.
• Motherboard and PCB design and modification.
• Working in board debugging and bring up.
• Working with system firmware, software and diagnostic team in system integration.
Qualifications:
• MS/BS EE in circuit design major with 2 years experience, including graduate school research projects.
• High speed circuit design experience and knowledge
• ATA,
SCSI,
sATA,
USB,
SAS, FC,
iSCSI and storage
HBA experience/knowledge
• Understand CPU chipset, BIOS, RAM, PCI bus and storage chipset solutions.
• Understand I/O
cache and battery backup
• Prefer motherboard and PCB design experience and knowledge.
• Experience with signal integrity issues.
• Good team work capabilities
• Ability to self learning and independent work.

2) Storage System Engineers
The successful candidate will be the eventual technical lead of the growing USI Shanghai storage system integration team.
Responsibilities:
• Storage and computing system design and integration
• Working with hardware, software and diagnostic team in system integration.
Qualifications:
• MS/BS Computer Engineering, EE, ME, Physics with 2 years experience, including graduate school research projects.
• System know how, in packaging, mechanical, cooling, EMI.
• Experience dealing with power supply issues.
• Understand computing system and data storage architectures.
• Understand computing network and storage protocols, Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet, TCP/IP, FC, IB, SCSI, iSCSI.
• Experience with various board to board, system to system interconnection schemes.
• Understand system cooling architecture.
• Ability to self learning and independent work.
• Good team work capabilities

3) Storage component and hardware testing engineer
The successful candidate will be the eventual technical lead of the growing USI Shanghai storage component and hardware testing team.
Responsibilities:
• Have thorough hands on experience trouble shooting and testing large and complex PCB and embedded processors.
• Work with software engineers in fine tuning diagnostic program features and fault isolation capabilities.
• Work with developer and customer support engineers to maximize fault coverage.
• Generate rework and repair instructions.
• Provide liaison and interface between R&D and Manufacturing/DQA on issues involving test strategy and methodology.
• Job involvement will be equally divided between board trouble shooting, and vendor interface. Amount of time involved for each area will be subject to change with ongoing demand.
Qualifications:
• MS/BS Computer Engineering, EE, ME, Physics with 2 years experience, including graduate school research projects
• Low level diagnostic firmware background will be a big plus.
• Hands on experience trouble shooting complex circuit board working as a testing engineer.
• Hands on experience working with large LAN/SAN network line cards and related hardware.
• Hands on experience with testing instruments.
• Good team work capabilities

4) Storage Firmware/Kernel Software Engineers
The successful candidate will be the eventual technical lead of the growing USI Shanghai storage kernel software team.
Responsibilities:
• Interoperation of FC/iSCSI/SCSI target with Linux and Windows host operating systems.
• Including but not limited to host bus adapter hardware and firmware, host bus adapter driver, operating system storage stack and multipathing and clustering software.
• SAN/LUN discovery and management.
• Development and implementation of host clustering and multipath I/O on one or more of Microsoft/
Veritas,
Qualifications:
• MS/BS CS, Computer Engineering, EE, ME, Physics with 2 years experience, including graduate school research projects
• C/C++
• Linux or Linux kernel development experience
• SCSI, FC, iSCSI protocol and target drivers knowledge
• Knowledge of device driver issues: configuration, performance, detection and resolution of data corruption bugs, application interoperability
• Understanding of SCSI Miniport drivers and SCSI class drivers
• ATA, SCSI, sATA, USB, SAS, FC, iSCSI and storage HBA experience/knowledge
• Understand CPU chipset, BIOS, RAM, PCI bus and storage chipset solutions.
• Understand I/O cache and battery backup
• Understanding one of LVM, Veritas VM, Microsoft/Veritas cluster, DMP, File systems Backup and Microsoft VSS & VDS a plus
• Good team work capabilities

5) Application Software Engineer
The successful candidate will be the eventual technical lead of the growing USI Shanghai storage application software team.
Responsibilities:
• Interoperation of USI storage management software with windows or linux host operation system, including but not limited to operating system storage stack, multipathing and clustering software.
• Development and implementation storage management components, including but not limited to daemon service, GUI, shared lib, shell script.
Qualifications:
• MS/BS CS, EE, ME, Physics with 2 years experience, including graduate school research projects
• C/C++, Java, Perl and VB
• RPC, CORBA, DCOM, Socket, Streaming, Database
• Linux or Window application development experience
• SCSI, FC, iSCSI, TCP/IP, NFS, CIFS protocols knowledge
• Knowledge of system configuration, performance, detection and resolution of data corruption bugs, application interoperability
• Understanding of SCSI Miniport drivers and SCSI class drivers
• Understanding one of LVM, Veritas VM, Microsoft/Veritas cluster, DMP, File systems Backup and Microsoft VSS & VDS a plus
• Good team work capabilities
• Ability to self learning and independent work.

6) Software and integration test Engineer
The successful candidate will be the eventual technical lead of the growing USI Shanghai storage testing team.
Responsibilities:
• Integration and test of USI storage management software with windows or linux host operation system, including but not limited to operating system storage stack, multipathing, clustering software, SAN/NAS test environments.
• Development and implementation storage management components testing tools
• Storage system function and performance test
Qualifications:
• MS/BS CS, EE, Physics with 2 years experience, including graduate school research projects
• Shell script, Perl and Virtual test
• Window or Linux application testing experience
• SCSI, FC, iSCSI, TCP/IP, NFS, CIFS protocols knowledge
• Knowledge of system configuration, performance, detection and resolution of data corruption bugs, application interoperability
• Understanding of SCSI Miniport drivers and SCSI class drivers
• Understanding one of LVM, Veritas VM, Microsoft/Veritas cluster, DMP, File systems Backup and Microsoft VSS & VDS a plus
• Good team work capabilities
